The Gleason Family has been on this ranch for five generations. Our grass-fed beef is cattle that are born, raised, and finished on this land. We treat out animals humanely and raise them peacefully. Our Cattle forage naturally on lush pastures with plenty of fresh air and room to roam.

We were taught to take care of our land and animals by our parents, just as they were taught by theirs. Sometimes the old ways are better.

Hard work, responsible ranching, and feeding our families the best food we can are things we believe in. One taste of our grass fed beef will make you a believer too. Rich and bold flavor like the land itself, our beef is delicious and nutritious.

Canlis has been using Gleason Family Ranch since we met them in early 2009. In our many years of sourcing the very best ingredients we can find, this relationship was fast cemented as an important one for Canlis: we need both a superior product, and desired to source it as locally as possible. The care, thoughtfulness, and expertise of their operation was directly in line with our values. The taste of their beef, in line with our menu. The character of the people behind the operation, in line with our desire to surround ourselves with quality, trustworthy people. Having worked with many local, sustainable farmers, we have never had the opportunity to do so with so mainstream a product like beef. Together, we are working to establishing a new paradigm from the traditional farmer / butcher / restaurant relationship. This family is changing Washington agriculture, and they have changed the way we source our beef. Canlis is proud to support them, and honored to feature Gleason Family Ranch on our menu.
